Beyond a Steel Sky out now on consoles

Studio Revolution Software's recent adventure game was released on consoles in North America yesterday.

This story of loyalty and redemption is set in an eerie and terrifying world of AI-driven social controls. Set a decade after the first game created by publisher Microids and Studio Revolution Software called Beneath a Steel Sky.

Beyond the Steel Sky's unique art style which makes the world look like a 3D comic book is inspired by the minds of comic artists like Dave Gibbons, who is better known for his work on DC Comics: Watchmen.

The in-depth but also humorous story is also rich with clever puzzles which will need to be solved in this sci-fi world to create a compelling gameplay experience for both old and new players of the franchise..

Players will be exploring the dystopian cyberpunk city of Union City on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

A retail version will be released in stores on December 21st.

The console version of the game features improvements to resolution on next-generation consoles such as 4K resolution as well as controller vibration.

Charles Cecil, the founder and CEO of Revolution Software, is looking forward to hearing the responses from console players after they experience Beyond a Steel Sky as he said:

I am hugely excited that Beyond a Steel Sky has now released on consoles, courtesy of Microids. We have had the chance to substantially improve and enhance the game and I am thrilled with the result... I can’t wait to hear the response from console gamers, whether they are new to the series or fans of the original"

Beyond the Steel Sky can currently be purchased digitally on your selected console's store for $39.99 (£34.99.)
