In the recent free major update for the hand drawn game Aeterna Noctis players can experience the new mode.
Publishers Sony Interactive Entertainment España and Aeternum Game Studios has been listening to their community and have recently announced the first major update for the game which hopes to make the 2D experience more accessible for their players as well as some quality of life improvements.
Since this update players can choose between the two game modes to experience the game with, Aeterna is the more accessible experience that focuses on both the exploration and action of the game whereas Noctis is the original challenge.
Each level has been redesigned for the Aeterna mode to make the difficulty curve of the platformer less steep such as giving the final bosses less health allowing players to beat them easier.
These two modes can be switched between without the need to make a new game and therefore players should have an easier time when completing Aeterna Noctis.
Aeternum Game Studios has also acknowledged other concerns from the community and therefore this update has also implemented other news series such as adding more thrones to the maps and solving a variety of bugs.
You can find out more about the possible upcoming new content coming to Aeterna Noctis here as well as purchasing the game on the PlayStation store for £22.23 ($29.99).
