Three people have been arrested in association with a violent attack on a Coventry man.
The 33 year-old was attacked by a gang possessing bats and knives on Monday at 10:30pm when leaving a restaurant on Tile Hill Lane to collect something from his car.
A 33 year-old man and 28 year-old man was arrested on the suspicion of attempted murder while a 24 year-old female was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The victim suffered serious injuries to his arm and wrist as a spokesperson from the West Midland Ambulance service said: “A man suffered serious injuries and was given trauma care on scene before being taken on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
However, this is not the first stabbing of the year in Coventry, statistics from the Coventry Live shows that there has been 33 recorded stabbings this year, which has doubled from the 16 of the year before.
Police are still investigating the case, a spokesperson from the West Midlands Police said: “we would also encourage anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check their dash-cam footage and get in touch with any information.”
